Why I Fell in Love with Mixed Media Art

When I began my mixed media journey back in 2014, I honestly had no idea what I was doing—or even what it was. I just knew I was craving something bold, soulful, and different.

I dove headfirst into the rabbit hole that is Pinterest and YouTube, soaking up as much inspiration as I could. Then I started collecting; magazines, newspapers, old fabric, trinkets and just about anything else that sparked my interest. My first pieces? Messy. Experimental. Full of trial and error. And completely magical.

As time went by, I discovered the joy of layering and thrill of no rules, and boy, was I hooked!

Now, mixed media is my passion and my refuge. It's a playground where I can explore endless possibilities and push the boundaries of my art. Every creation is a new adventure, a chance to see where my imagination takes me. That's why, even after all these years, I still love it as fiercely as when I first started.

This is the ultimate no-rules art form, it’s also the most forgiving! Mix up art mediums, splash around paints, toss in any papers you fancy, and sprinkle it with found objects, old trinkets, or even a rusty bolt or two. As long as you love it, it’s perfect.
