The Story Behind my “Journey to Self” Art Collection
How it Began
Since I was a little girl, I’ve been fascinated by the beauty and strength of women. Their knack for nurturing, leading, and sparking inspiration has always captivated me.
As a kid I loved capturing the magic of their faces in my artwork; the way their eyes held a thousand stories, or a secret behind their smile. I spent hours trying to capture not just their likeness, but the essence of their spirit. My passion for portraying women in art was just the beginning of a lifelong journey to celebrate and uplift the feminine spirit in all its forms.
As I grew older, I found inspiration in other artist from all walks of life. Each adding a new layer to my understanding of what it means to be a woman in the world today. In them, I saw reflections of my dreams and aspirations. I discovered that real beauty isn't just about looking good but in the courage to be authentic, the strength to overcome adversity, and spreading the love to uplift others. This fascination has led my journey, driving me to celebrate and support the amazing women in my life, because together, we can create a brighter future.

Behind the Details
This one-of-a-kind collection captures the essence of personal growth and discovery. Each piece begins with carefully chosen layers of beautiful paper and text reflecting the experiences and emotions that contribute to our unique identities and the stories that we tell ourselves, followed by a thin layer of paint representing the pieces of ourselves that we hide from the world.
True or not we all have stories we tell ourselves and pieces of ourselves we hide from the world. These stories shape how we see the world, guide our decisions, and influence our interactions with others. Sometimes, they’re epic sagas of triumph and resilience, giving us a confidence boost and pushing us to conquer new heights. Other times, they morph into cautionary tales of doubt and fear, whispering warnings and holding us back from reaching our full potential.
The pieces we hide are often vulnerabilities, dreams, or parts of ourselves we fear might not be accepted or understood. But guess what? These hidden aspects can also hold the key to genuine connection and empathy, revealing the depth of our shared human journey.

Each of us holds countless layers within us built through a lifetime of memories and trials. These layers shape who we are, influence our thoughts and actions and tell a story of growth, resilience, and transformation. I create layers of rich textures and translucent elements. With each layer, a vibrant mosaic springs to life, each hue and texture telling a different piece of the story, yet all interwoven to form a whole.
Flowers bloom to embody softness and feminine charm, while drips give a nod to our tears and tribulations through life. Splatters hint at beauty hidden in the chaos while closed eyes symbolize our inward journey to self-discovery.
