My Third Somerset Studio Feature Is Here!
What if I told you that the version of you stealing ten minutes to art journal between dishes… could end up in a magazine someday?
I’m absolutely overjoyed to share that my work is featured once again in Somerset Studio’s Autumn 2025 issue—marking my third consecutive publication with this beloved creative magazine. My article “Celebrating a Life of Color”—a title that couldn’t be more fitting, captures the heart of my work and the vibrant, expressive spirit I bring to every piece.

Behind the Feature
Since childhood, I’ve been deeply, unapologetically in love with three things: bright color, beautiful flowers, and the quiet, unstoppable strength of women. These obsessions have never left me—in fact, they’ve grown louder, more vivid, more essential with time. They’ve shaped the way I see the world, and more importantly, myself.
This series is more than just a collection of portraits—it’s a vibrant, layered love letter to these lifelong inspirations. A celebration of fierce femininity, wild florals that refuse to be tamed, and color that dares to speak louder than words.
My portraits are layered with symbolism:
Florals that bloom across the page like declarations of growth and joy.
Women who exude power, softness, mystery, and presence.
Color palettes that refuse to whisper—they sing.
This article gave me space to do more than simply showcase my finished pieces—it allowed me to invite readers into the heart of my process. To pull back the curtain and share not just what I create, but how I create it, why I made certain choices, and why it all means to me. From the torn collage foundations and raw edges of book pages, to the messy joy of finger-smudged paint, the delicate layering of florals, and the final splatters of alcohol ink—I held nothing back. Even the texture itself tells a story.
The techniques are intuitive, imperfect, and full of contrast—just like the women I paint. And that’s the message behind every mark:
You are allowed to take up space—visually, emotionally, creatively.
Not just allowed but invited. Encouraged. Needed.

What This Moment Means
Being featured in Somerset Studio three times in a row isn’t just exciting—it’s affirming. It tells me (and hopefully tells you) that showing up in your creativity—even when it’s messy or imperfect or squeezed into tiny windows of time is enough.
This feature is for every woman who’s ever wondered if her art matters.
It does.
So much.
