It never ceases to amaze me how absolutely AMAZING mother nature is! From her vibrant colors to her endless landscapes, she inspires me daily to create something beautiful. With just a few supplies and a couple of hours you can create this beautiful mother nature inspired t-shirt.
What you’ll need:
T-shirt
Fresh flowers/leaves
Stencil
Towel
Hammer
Plastic/paper
Scissors
Wash and dry your t-shirt.
Gather your flowers and leaves.
Create or purchase a stencil. Remember a true stencil will put your “design” inside the writing. A masked stencil with create blank space to put your design around.
Lay your t-shirt out flat with a towel in between the layers. This keeps the pigment from bleeding through both sides.
Place the stencil onto the t-shirt.
Arrange your flowers and leaves around the stencil however you chose.
Put a piece of plastic or paper over the top of your design.
Use your hammer to lightly pound the flowers flat, transferring the color to your t-shirt.
Remove the plastic/paper.
Bonus steps to create fringe:
10. Cut the bottom of the t-shirt and the arms into 1/2 wide strips, starting from the edge.
11. Tie two strips together in a knot. Repeat for all remaining strips.
