In-person Workshops and Retreats Policies

Here at Creatively Misty, I want your stay and your creative time to be as enjoyable and pleasant as possible!

Retreats

Check-in/ check-out times:

This varies, depending on the chosen venue. Each individual retreat is different. Please check the information page for your chosen retreat.

Included with your Retreat:

This varies, depending on the chosen retreat and venue location. Please check the information page for your chosen retreat. The following will always be included:

  • Tables

  • Chairs

  • Pre-determined projects and activities

  • Space to create

Deposits and reservations:

A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to reserve your space at the time of booking. You may also choose to pay in full at the time of booking. Once your deposit has been received, I’ll send you an email confirmation with further details, including paying the remaining balance.

If you choose to pay just the deposit at booking the remaining 60% will be required 60 days prior to the retreat. All payments must be paid online via credit card.  Please check the information page of your chosen retreat for price details. Payment may be made by credit / debit card.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation must be made in writing (via email) to:  misty@creativelymisty.com

  • Cancellation dates and refunds vary by retreat and venue. Please be sure to read over each retreats policies and deadline carefully.

  • Any retreat cancelled by Creatively Misty, for any reason, will be fully refunded minus the portion of the retreat cost advanced to suppliers.

  • Inclement weather: If you believe it is unsafe to travel to your scheduled retreat due to weather, please contact Misty. Though no refunds will be issued, the fees you have paid can be transferred to another Creatively Misty retreat within twelve months of the date cancelled.

Smoking:

For the health and well-being of all guests and for the care of your projects, belongings, and facilities, all indoor spaces, regardless of the venue, are non-smoking areas. Some venues may provide designated smoking areas on the premises. Please dispose of butts properly at all times and clean up after yourself. If a designated smoking area is not provided by the venue, please be respectful of your fellow retreat participants and smoke a minimum of 25 feet away from others and exits. Please be respectful of all smoking policies if smoking on the premises is not allowed. Anyone caught not following smoking policies will be asked to leave immediately without a refund and is subject to paying the venue’s smoking fees.

Accidents:

Accidents happen but please be considerate and responsible. Treat the retreat venue as you would your own home. If something gets broken during your stay you will be required to cover the replacement costs.

Extra guests:

Non-paid guests are not allowed on the premises at any time during the duration of the retreat.

Check-Out Procedure:

  • Guests shall leave the premises in neat, undamaged condition.

  • If the venue offers a kitchen, all dirty dishes must be loaded into the dishwasher (if provided) and started OR hand-washed.

  • If the venue offers a kitchen, all leftover food that was brought in must be removed from the refrigerator / cupboards.

  • All trash (kitchen, sleeping area, craft space, etc.) must be bagged and placed in trash receptacle outside.

  • Furniture must be placed in its original location.

In-person Workshops

Workshop Schedule:

Workshops will begin PROMPTLY at the times listed on the information page for your chosen workshop. Please be respectful of your fellow participants and the instructor by showing up a minimum of ten minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Individuals who arrive late will not be allowed to participate and will not be issued a refund. Workshop fees will be transferred to another Creatively Misty workshop of your choice within one month of the date cancelled. Participants with repeat tardiness and subsequent reschedules will only be allow five offenses. After such, all fees will be non-refundable and participants will no longer be allowed to book or attend a Creatively Misty event.

Included with your Workshop:

  • All supplies needed to complete the pre-determined project

  • cancellations made 15 days or more prior to your workshop will be fully refunded.

  • cancellations made 6-14 days prior to your workshop will be issued no refunds. The fees you have paid will be transferred to another Creatively Misty workshop within one month of the date cancelled.

  • Cancellations 5 days or less prior to your workshop will receive no refund.

  • Any workshop cancelled by Creatively Misty, for any reason, will be fully refunded.

For the consideration of all participants and the instructor, I ask that all non-paid guests do not interfere with workshops. This means not sitting in the designated workshop area or conversing with any of the participants while the workshop is in session.
